Terms of Service.

You use the Protocol at your own risk. It is non-custodial software: we do not hold your funds and cannot reverse your trades. Read the sections below before connecting a wallet.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Predict Protocol application and website at predictprotocol.app (the "Site") and the associated on-chain smart contracts (the "Protocol"). By connecting a wallet or interacting with the Protocol you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or the Protocol.

2. Nature of the service

Predict Protocol is non-custodial software that provides an interface for peer-to-peer prediction markets. We do not hold user funds at any point. All trades settle through audited smart contracts deployed to the BNB Smart Chain. Predict Protocol is not a broker, exchange, or financial adviser; we do not recommend any specific market or outcome.

3. Eligibility

You may only use the Protocol if you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and are not a resident of, or located in, any country or territory where the use of prediction markets, on-chain derivatives, or similar products is restricted or prohibited by applicable law. You are responsible for determining your own eligibility and for complying with all local laws. We may, at our discretion, block access from specific jurisdictions.

4. Risks

Participating in the Protocol involves substantial risk, including but not limited to:
  • Total loss. You may lose the entire value of any position you take. Prediction-market outcomes are binary and the losing side receives no payout.
  • Smart-contract risk. The Protocol is a collection of immutable contracts. Bugs or exploits, if any, could result in permanent loss of funds.
  • Oracle risk. Market resolution depends on the resolver set defined in the contract. Disputed or incorrectly-resolved markets may not be recoverable.
  • Network risk. Transactions may fail, stall, or be front-run by third parties on the underlying blockchain.
  • Regulatory risk. The legal status of prediction markets varies by jurisdiction and may change.
You accept all of these risks when you use the Protocol.

5. No financial advice

Nothing on the Site, in our documentation, in our social channels, or in the Protocol constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Any data shown (including implied odds, volume, or leaderboards) is provided for informational purposes only and may contain errors or lag the underlying chain.

6. User conduct

You agree not to use the Site or Protocol to: (a) launder funds or finance illegal activity; (b) manipulate markets through wash trading, spoofing, or coordinated behaviour; (c) attempt to probe, scan, or exploit vulnerabilities outside of our public bug bounty; (d) misrepresent yourself or your wallet control; or (e) violate applicable law. We may revoke Site access at any time if we suspect a violation.

7. Intellectual property

The Site's design, branding, and non-contract code are owned by the Predict Protocol team. The on-chain contracts are released under a permissive open-source licence. You may not copy the Site's branding or front-end for a competing product without permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Site and Protocol are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Predict Protocol team and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or Protocol, including lost profits, lost data, or trading losses. Aggregate liability, if any, is capped at USD $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Predict Protocol team and its contributors against any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product and regulatory landscape evolve. Material changes will be announced on the Site. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms and any disputes relating to them will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is organised, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration to the extent permitted by applicable law.
